Felicitas Fischer

movement educator | Creative Strategist

Felicitas is a dance artist and movement educator whose work lies in uncovering the kinetic potential of the body. Originally trained in classical and contemporary forms, her approach incorporates a range of movement practices rooted in somatic exploration of the body + improvisational methods + functional strength training for the dancer. Throughout a diasporic upbringing, Felicitas has worked and trained with artists across the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and parts of the Bay Area, where she has been performing locally for the past 7 years. She graduated from the University of San Francisco (B.A. Performing Arts & Social Justice, Dance), and now works actively in the community with Bridge Live Arts and runs Artists For Justice, a platform dedicated to supporting diverse emerging artists and social-justice initiatives. Her work as creative strategist spans 10 years of web and graphic design, digital marketing, and consulting for clients of all sizes, ranging from small arts organizations to nationally recognized non-profits. She is currently pursuing an M.S. in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology to advance her research and work as a movement educator and somatic strength trainer.
